Sound Foundation Party - PR wizard Tyler Burrow and me

You know I love a good party and I’m a huge fan of music, so when those great tastes get put together, I’m grabbing the Diors and head out the door. This night was a good time in particular and for an amazing company called The Sound Foundation.

Ever wanted to know what it would be like if you could curate the sound for your home, work environment or party? I don’t just mean pulling a DJ aside to create a superior playlist, I’m talking about actually creating a sound environment that evokes a certain emotion, state of mind or reaction. That’s what the Sound Foundation does.

Recording Artist KT Tunstall

They’re a multi-faceted production company that specializes in music resourcing for advertising/film projects and environmental sound design. Their extremely innovative team consists of music supervisors, writers, composers, and musical artists that believe that “sound is the foundation for life and music is the narrator.”  Since their inception in 2008,clients have included Victoria’s Secret, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Calvin Klein, just to name a few.

Producer Vasili Gavre was quoted as saying, “We love fashion and think music is an extension of that beauty. Many of our inspiration comes from fashion; be free, be who you want to be. With out music, what would you dance to? Birthday suits have never been in fashion.”

Performance by Hurricane Bells

The party was a cool mixture of industry and music experts and we talked music and sound with celebrity guests like KT Tunstall as we enjoyed a performance by Hurricane Bells, a fabulous band that Sound Foundation has worked with quite a few times.

All in all it was a fabulous party for a great company. To learn more about Sound Foundation, check them out online or via Twitter or their Facebook page. If they can create an environment that’s half as cool as this party was, you’ve got a fantastic time on your hands.
