Getting one engraved invitation from Ralph Lauren is one thing, but imagine my surprise this year when TWO actually arrived. Be still my beating heart, gals and gents – this one was for the Ralph Lauren Collection Accessories presentation, held at 888 Madison Avenue, across the street from his flagship in the refurbished Rhinelander Mansion. The building is grand and Laurenesque in its elegant style – 22,000 square feet of vaulted grandeur with an ambassadorial staircase, crystal chandeliers and all manner of luxury for its guests.

This particular morning, guests were treated to a breakfast to view the accessories we would watch saunter down the runway the next day. It was a close encounter with accessories that are – like all Ralph Lauren items – painstakingly crafted down to the last detail, the last stitch or bolt installed for lasting quality.

I really can’t write more about the accessories lest I steal their thunder. Please enjoy the gallery below and enjoy the mere smattering of items (I assure you, there were more photos that I could have added, the collection is IMMENSE) as well as the photographic debut of FSB’s new photographer, Ashley Sears. The items and the photos are simply divine.
