Adventures in Beauty: Cindy Crawford Meaningful Beauty #YouthHasNoAge Challenge

Let’s face it: if you know anything about me, you know that I’ve had a long-term obsession with all things Cindy Crawford. She was the first supermodel I remember having a curvier body, and with the darker features (and that hair! shut UP, let’s talk about her hair!) I pretty much joined Cindymania with everyone else in the 80’s and 90’s. I wanted House of Style, I sang along to the George Michael Freedom ’90 videos, my friends and I even donned multicolored dresses and did the Versace runway finale walk like The Supers did for Halloween one year. I have the Primal Scream album, Screamadelica, because it was the soundtrack to her first wildly-successful workout video, and, truth be told, I still do some of the moves when I hit the gym once a week. Give me free weights and a chair, and I can come tear it up, Cindy style.

A while ago, the Model with The Mostest and her beauty brand, Meaningful Beauty, a partnership with her long-term dermatologist wonder Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh, issued me a challenge: to show you that youth has no age, and to live like Cindy Crawford for a week to show that you can be beautiful at any point in your life, that you can love the skin you’re in if you just manage to take care of yourself and nourish that precious flesh. And so, I accepted. Which is when they sent over a box of these awesome goodies from the line and a chance to engage in a Cindy-like lifestyle. So, you’ll be seeing more about what I do via social media, and a final post at the end of the week that will recap the lovely products, along with some reviews on how I used them. Here’s the line and the lovely items I’m playing with this week.

As far as my activities, no, I’m not planning on jetting off to an exotic locale with Rande Gerber along for the ride (although wouldn’t THAT be a great story?) Nope, I’m going to indulge in some fun activities, starting with a SoulCycle class tonight, followed by a hike through Central Park (Cindy is a huge fan of hikes in the Los Angeles area,) a giant treat at Juice Generation (healthy eating and foods are the cornerstone of that glow, kids,) indulge in a power nap at a pretty sweet location (more about that later,) and I’ll finish up with a gorgeous lunch al fresco with a friend, all while testing her awesome products.

Meaningful Beauty is an adoption of Cindy’s philosophy that youth truly has no age, that it’s never too late to care for your skin. I’m inclined to agree with her, so follow me on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #YouthHasNoAge and let’s play this week, shall we? Should be fun!

And no, I wish I got to borrow her hair for the week, too. Next time, I’ll negotiate that as part of the deal. (Kidding…maybe.) 😉

I believe she first started when she was 19 years old. She had everything a supermodel needed and more. She is by far one of my favorite models of all time!
