If you’ve looked at your reflection in the mirror lately, you can see quite clearly that winter can wreak havoc on your skin. As in, it suddenly looks like someone dirtied up the mirror. No need to clean it off. That slightly grey cast and lackluster appearance is due to the weather’s whipping your skin back and forth like Willow Smith and a general lack of Vitamin D from the lack of sun, in short supply this time of year.
While I can’t help with a quick vacation to the tropics, I can help bring a little liquid sunshine to your skincare routine and give you more hydrated, lustrous, supple skin this time of year. Ladies and the men who love skincare, let me introduce you to my new favorite serum: Dr. Dennis Gross Active Vitamin D Serum Oil. A serum packed with the essential vitamin that’s gathered from the sun, this light oil is used daily (or twice a day, in my case) in addition to your regular skincare routine to put back what winter is taking from you. What it leaves behind is a glow and level of hydration that’s like a ray of light. Use it regularly for winter-proof skin and a rather sunny disposition.
By the way, people with oily or combination skin? You can use it, too. Don’t let the word “oil” throw you off.
While we can’t bottle sunshine just yet, we can at least add drops of its essential nutrients when we need it most. This oil, as you will see with use, is the closest your skin can come to a vacation this winter without a vacation…and it’s a whole lot cheaper.
