Hi, my name is Kristin and I am a beauty snob. No, I mean it…when it comes to the beauty products I will allow to touch my face AND yours, I will only let a few get close enough to see my delicate pores.
Which is why there are very few stores that I will tell you to just walk in and trust the staff to give you excellent service and take care of your needs. FSB readers, there is one destination that is so near and dear to my heart that I’m going to give them a whole post of real estate to talk about their must-have brands…
Get yourself to the Nordstrom Beauty Department for your spring makeup needs.
My beloved department store and online destination has all of my particular must-have beauty products for spring. What will I be purchasing (and what should YOU be buying) for this upcoming season? Feast your eyes on these must-haves that answer the call of the spring trend:
Burberry Lip Cover Soft Satin Lipstick – The products are in that many stores yet (they’re working on expansion) but you can get anything you need online. Your must-have product: this lipstick, which builds with soft, durable color from a stain to a gorgeous pout. The red in No.18 Ruby hasn’t left my lips since I got it two weeks ago.
Estee Lauder Pure Color Nail Lacquer – FINALLY a nail polish that literally looks EXACTLY the same as it does inside the bottle as it does on the nail. One coat is sufficient, continue to build for gorgeous colors. This is what you will need to get in on the Bold Color trend for spring, especially for those of you who want to vivid nail hues. Perfect for toes in more bright options like Wicked Green and for both fingers and toes in colors like the one shown, Violet Diva.
Dior 5-Colour Iridescent Eye Shadow – As alluring on the vanity as it is good for your vanity when you use it in public (please, don’t act like you wouldn’t,) Dior strikes again with another set of eye palettes that have long-lasting formulas that build into runway-ready perfection day or night. My own personal favorite is the universally-flattering Earth Reflection palette, which is on trend and will look amazing with the nude and white color palettes that are coming your way.
Laura Mercier Baked Eye Color – This was the product that sent me into overdrive at a recent preview. First of all, the pigments are mindblowing and they go on super light and build and blend perfectly. It comes in six hues but this color, Lagoon, is begging to be used as a light wash over the eye during the day or applied with a thin, wet brush over champagne or gold shadow for a night on the town.
Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquers – I have an almost cult-like obsession with Deborah Lippmann’s nail hues and the woman has done it again with two hues that can be worn alone or layered together for the ultimate in spring nail heaven. Naked is a nude creme that looks spectacular on everyone and then there’s…
Glitter In The Air, a polish inspired by Pink’s Grammy performance that’s a delicate sheer blue with light specks of glitter. Wear them alone, put the second polish on top of the first or wear Glitter in The Air over all sorts of other polishes…they’re mind-blowing.
Fragrance – Light and easy does it this time when it comes to spring fragrance, so why not refresh your scent palette with some of the more notable fragrances of the season? Nordstrom’s got the hottest offerings but for my money, I live for Love, Chloe.
Obviously there are countless other brands available via this department so please do go and play. Got questions? They’re available day or night online to answer all your needs and the legendary service you will receive via any means will keep you loyal for life. Seriously, people – one place for spring beauty and you’re done: the Nordstrom Beauty Department. Done.
