One of the fun things about my job is that I get a chance to meet the people who create all those fun, fabulous products that we all know and love. When it comes to nail lacquer, there are a few names out there who are in my go basket of polishes to take to the salon but the one polish name you’ll find in there most is butter LONDON.
Now only are Nonie Creme’s colors as exciting and amazing as her personality (she’s a backstage fixture at Fashion Week and WE LOVE HER,) but the polishes reflect Nonie’s “3-Free” principle: all the lacquers are free of Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP or Parabens. Good colors that are good for the wearer and the nail tech? I’m in.
When I received the butter LONDON fall polish collection, I had to show them to you. With five gorgeous hues that are bound to have something for everyone, here’s what’s happening for fall:
No More Waity, Katie – A polish inspired by the British Royal Wedding and the new Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, this is a gorgeous greige (grey-beige) color with a splash of lilac glitter. So pretty.
Knees Up – One of the most beautiful metallic reds I’ve ever seen. Evidently, it was originally created for Victoria Beckham’s last collection but now it’s available for all.
Bluey – An amazing deep peacock hue with a touch of sparkle. So gorgeous.
Toff – A rick, dusky version of a rose hue. Those of you who typically go ballet slipper pink, give this one a go for fall.
Wallis – Named for Wallis Simpson, the American socialite who was so alluring she got the King of England to abdicate the throne, it’s a tarnished metallic olive-gold that’s dark, mysterious and as enticing as its namesake.
butter LONDON polishes retail for $14 and I’d recommend picking them up. Because while it might not be cool enough to pull out all those luxe sweaters, you can get a jump on the season with these gorgeous nail hues. Call it planning ahead.
