I get super giddy when MAC does collaborations, namely because they’re kind of Police-era awesome, in that every little thing they do is magic. So, I’m literally dashing off a post while I’m on deadline for four clients today to tell you that the ultimate fashion Reese’s Cup is coming next season: Proenza Schouler and M·A·C Cosmetics just announced a collection collaboration that will hit stores Spring 2014.
For the fashion-obsessed (guilty as charged), you can expect a whole line inspired by one of the dazzling design duo’s past collections. The line will feature Ombre Face Powders, Lipsticks, Pro Longwear Eye Liners and Lip Pencils, Nail Lacquers, and a 129SE Powder Brush all in signature packaging designed in partnership with Jack McCullough and Lazaro Hernandez. In short, you may get a little PS1-like magic to fit into your PS1. So, you know, put on a hat so it won’t mess up the walls when the collection blows your mind.
See also: if you think your friends are envious of your little makeup compacts and lip products now, just wait until you freshen your face at the table with one of THESE in your hands. I don’t really love the whole inspire-envy-among-the-masses thing, but sometimes you’ve just got to throw a little glitter on the floor and leave them wanting more. This collection is one that can deliver that shine.
Set your calendars, fashion and beauty lovers: April 2014 is when the collection will hit stores and online around the world. I, for one, cannot wait.
