I love red carpet looks when they’re exception and I have to say, Jennifer Lawrence NAILED it on the red carpet at the premiere of The Hunger Games Sunday night. Looking absolutely marvelous in a Prabal Gurung dress, the actress chosen to play Katniss Everdeen’s beauty look from the neck up was sheer perfection. Want to know how to steal Jennifer’s gorgeous makeup look? Read on, red carpet beauty lovers!
Makeup by: Celebrity makeup artist and Avon Global Creative Color Director Jillian Dempsey
Concept: Bold and glamorous. “Jennifer likes to be daring with her look. She’s not afraid to really wear makeup,” said Jillian.
Get the Look:
- Face: In order to create Jennifer’s sunkissed glow, Jillian used the new Jillian Dempsey for Avon Professional Perfect Contour Powder in Blissful (coming in April) to first sculpt her cheeks. She then layered a custom mix of Be Blushed Cheek Color by Avon in Tropical Peach ($8) and Stila Convertible Color in Peony ($25) on top to create a soft, warm complexion.
- Eyes: Putting the focus on Jennifer’s eyes, Jillian lined them with Laura Mercier Caviar Eyeliner in Black ($22) and then layered a gold eyeshadow over the lids (try NARS Eyeshadow in Silent Night ($24) . Using a feather brush, Jillian blended the edges of the liner with the gold shadow, creating a multidimensional effect that looked like sparkling black shadow. Jillian also defined Jennifer’s brows to accentuate and frame her face (try the Perfect Eyebrow Pencil ($6).
- Lips: Jillian opted for a nude lip to balance the strong eyes she had created, first applying Ultra Color Rich Moisture Seduction by Avon in Nude Perfection ($7) as a stain, then layering Yves Saint Laurent ROUGE PUR COUTURE Vernis À Lèvres Glossy Stain in Coral Aquatique ($32)over it for a creamy, smooth texture.
