I really resist putting a lot of celebrity items on this site because I feel that we get inundated with them all the time. But there are some stars who I feel kind of “get it” when it comes to achieving style for real people. One of them is Jessica Alba, who seems to have a great heart and a good grasp on what it’s like to live well. Between The Honest Company and her general approachability, I tend to keep an eye on Alba. She kind of reminds me of Saint Drew (as in Drew Barrymore, and we all know how I feel about Drew,) and that’s a good thing.
If you’re also donating portions of your income to the amazing retailer known as Piperlime, you’ll be glad to know that the site has selected Alba as their new Guest Editor, following in the footsteps of such stylish mavens as Rachel Zoe and Olivia Palermo. Alba has a whole page of picks, so I decide to pick some of her picks for myself and do sort of a best-of-her-best thing.
Below in the grid are some of my favorites of Alba’s approachable, easy chic choices. You can see all her picks on her Guest Editor page on Piperlime now. They’re pretty fabulous, I must say. Brad Goreski’s taught her well, and her own need for things that are kid and life-proof come though.
Clockwise from top left: Numph Dot Dot Pullover ($79), Tolani Infinity Scarf ($86), Report Tahoe Velvet Loafers ($70), 10 Crosby by Derek Lam Drawstring Pant with Leather Waistband ($325), Danielle Nicole Adeline Satchel ($98), Report Barone Boots ($130)
What do you think? Do you like Jessica’s picks? What are your thoughts on “celebrity style?”
