This dedicated post is part of my partnership with Timex. The opinions expressed below, however, are strictly my own.
I barely had time to catch a photo of this style star because the minute she started walking toward the venue at Fashion Week, a crush of street style paparazzi raced into the street to take her photo. This daring gal in the gorgeous top knot hairstyle is showing the world how color and prints are done. The whole look just works, down to her caramel statement loafers that elongate her leg.
The thing about prints that most people fear is either looking rather mad in them or having your body distorted in some weird, wild way. Actually, it’s not the case. A great print can draw the eye exactly where you want it to go. Just pick a great pattern in a hue that compliments you (these two great hues are perfect with her pale skin) and frame them as she did with solids of the same color family or basic black and/or white. The solids create a frame for the picture you want everyone to see and you’ll look amazing.
What kind of watch would you pair with such a vivid set of colors? I think you go with the mod effects of the pattern and give a nod to the 1960’s with a white watch, specifically the Timex Originals Modern Easy Reader. Easy to read when you’re dashing away from the photographers, but striking enough to compliment your outfit.
If you’re skittish about prints, maybe it’s time you tried framing your own perfect pattern. Just follow the advice above and pair it with a great solid accessory and you’ll look like a total “print-ess.” It’s about time.
