This past week I had the honor of being the gal who got a chance to rock some clothes from one of my favorite denim labels, AG Adriano Goldschmeid. They let me loose in the store and told me I could choose one top and one bottom (full disclosure: that I got to keep.) At which point, I hauled it into the store and proceeded to enlist Heven and Jaden into helping me select a look.
This look is an exercise in “trust your first instinct”, because when I spotted this – The Legging in Leatherette Black – I was pretty much done. Don’t get me wrong, I tried on pretty much every jean in the store, but the heart wants what it wants and mine wanted to unleash my inner rock star.
C’mon, you know you’d had that I-want-to-be-a-bad-ass-in-leather-pants moment. I decided to live mine. They LOOK like leather but are as soft as a pair of sweatpants and are infinitely forgiving.
I paired the look with the Long Sleeve Drape Jacket in Bright Blue (also spotted the minute I walked in the store) and pretty much had my look. I will – I repeat, I WILL RETURN – for The Legging in Dark Night – because, again, I love anything that looks that hot that feels like a pair of sweatpants. Proof positive you don’t have to wear sweatpants to get that level of comfort. The defense rests, Your Honor.
The rest of the items are pretty standard issue for my regular look: Dressed to the Nines Y necklace from Carolee, the shoes are the Rocha pump Nine West (I have them in every color, no joke) and the tank top is from Gap. My pretty snazzy clutch was the Lauren Merkin Eve Snap Frame Glitter Clutch, a gift from the Robert Verdi holiday picks event. More about that coming soon. The coat is vintage from the closet of Mom Booker.
Lucky Shops was a really fun event, filled with aisles and aisles of merchandise, a fabulous DJ and some pretty tame shoppers (honestly, no drinks or elbows were thrown.) I had a chance to catch up with Lucky’s Editor-in-Chief, Brandon Holley, at the event. Strangely, we were sort of dressed alike.
But I just want to thank AG Adriano Goldschmeid for asking me to walk the red carpet as their gal for the night. It’s just another step in my personal history, one made much more comfortable by the sexiest pair of jeans on the planet. Thank you!
By the way, these jeans are coming home with me for Christmas. In fact, they’re coming EVERYWHERE with me. I’m in love and I think it’s pretty serious. 🙂
