Fall 2012 Shopping List: T by Alexander Wang

While piled up in front of the couch watching London 2012 Olympics gymnastics last night, I was perusing the Bergdorf Goodman website for my fall shopping list. After purchasing a few things from T by Alexander Wang last season, I found myself with a whole cart of it for the upcoming season.

This is the campaign video for the line, starring Azealia Banks and her new song, Van Vogue. It’s pretty fab, but does anyone else feel motion sick or like you can’t see the clothes in the video? I love his stuff too much to see it through a strobe light effect. But, pretty cool, nonetheless.

T By Alexander Wang Marled Jersey Top and Skirt.

The reason I love the line (and I’d ask you to definitely consider more than a piece or three) is the incredible softness and cut of the clothes. You don’t have to be a downtown girl to wear the supersoft, well-cut tees and top and the dresses are AMAZING on a variety of bodies. I’ve got a few pieces from the line and I plan on making a rather significant investment this season. I’ll be grabbing this Marled Jersey Top and Skirt, which I love because they look sleek together or could be broken apart for a multitude of looks. Gals with hips: his skirts are MAGICAL. Just saying.

T by Alexander Wang Marled Jersey Twist Dress

I’m also pulling in this Marled Jersey Twist Dress. A gal can never have too many get-sharp-in-a-hurry options.

T by Alexander Wang Brushed Cable-Knit Pullover.

You can see Azealia rocking this Brushed Cable-Knit Pullover in the video. I’m in love with it for day with a pencil skirt or at night with waxed coated skinnies or a leather skirt.

T by Alexander Wang Drape-Back Jersey Dress

Finally, I think this Drape-Back Jersey Dress is the answer to every woman’s question of what to wear to work when she has some function that night that requires you to wear Good Underwear. This dress is perfectly office-ready all day with a great leather jacket or a black blazer. Then drop the jacket at night and it’s got a draped back panel that exposes everything beneath the bra strap for a flash of skin that is impossibly sexy. Ta-da.

Even better? As luxurious as these dresses feel, as stylish as they are…nothing I’ve listed is over $200. All of these items – and a LOT more – are worth checking out and purchasing from Bergdorf Goodman.

What do you think? Will you grab from T from Alexander Wang for your own wardrobe for fall?
