It’s no secret that I am literally obsessed with all things Rachel Zoe. From her incredibly stylish eye to her impeccable knowledge of what to put down the red carpet as well as the street, I’m officially Team Zoe and plan to stay there.
Which is why I am SALIVATING over her Fall 2011 clothing line. Yes, the woman who has taken over your television set and news feed is set to give you your own red carpet moment with her own line of clothing and accessories which launched in July with a preview at Neiman Marcus. As a matter of fact, all of these items that I’m coveting are available at Neiman Marcus at prices that are not extraordinarily exorbitant. As in, I would pick a piece or two (or five, as I’m plotting right this minute) for your fall wardrobe.
Here are my favorites from her premiere collection, based on her (and our shared love) of all things 70’s glam mixed in with British flair and American sportswear chic:
Faux Fur Vest, Tie-Neck Plunge Blouse and Zip-Cuff Skinny Jeans – This is classic Zoe – gorgeous blouse, faux fur vest (which is here to stay, evidently) and a great pair of dark rinse jeans with a great ankle boot. It’s a great silhouette that works well on all body types, just be sure to stick to a straight leg jean if you’re a little more curvy. They’re more forgiving.
Faux-Fur Turn-Lock Jacket and Motorcycle Leggings – This is a cleaner version of the tough-girl silhouette we’ve enjoyed for the past few seasons. I like the return to a more polished look. Trust me, if you’ve been fighting with the trends for a while, it’s time to relax – this is a season everyone can enjoy.
Ruffled Panther-Print Dress – MEOW. Loving the animal print and the one-shoulder ruffles. Excellent cocktail party selection that will look just as amazing with a black leather jacket with an even more feminine shoe, like a jewel-tone velvet evening choice.
Blouson Metallic Maxi – Again, classic Zoe silhouette with the long ruffles and the flowing movement. I like this for BIG nights on the town but honestly, I think it’s always better to be overdressed so a dazzling dinner with that special someone might be just right. After all, bare shoulders are usually a gentleman’s Kryptonite.
Fall is ripe with investment pieces and this collection from Rachel Zoe is one of my top picks for the season. Which pieces did you like best? Dish!
