Fall Fragrance Must-Have: Work Your Feminine Wiles with S By Shakira Eau Florale

S by Shakira

I am not one who normally tends toward floral fragrances. I have had my dalliances with things that feel extremely feminine but I am usually the first person to insist that my love of flowers should be met via the garden, planted or delivered-in-a-vase-with-a-card variety.

Until now. Oh yes, I have found a floral fragrance that appeals to me and now I have to tell you about it. Behold the feminine magic of S by Shakira Eau Florale.Yes, that Shakira, the international pop and Latin music sensation with the Tasmanian She-Devil hips and washboard abdominals to match.

This, her second fragrance, was created per the singer’s request for a “very simple fragrance, with few accords and few notes, but which together manage to say a lot.” The task was accomplished beautifully because this is a floral fragrance that isn’t overpowering but still manages to make its presence known. In my opinion, it smells like the memory of your favorite flower arrangement – notes of petals mixed with greenery, water, berries and possibly a dried spice or two. It’s a more delicate fragrance than her last one, but it’s not weak by any means.

The notes of the fragrance unfold elegantly. It opens with Juniper and Heliotrope Flower, softens to a heart of bergamot and cassis combined with sweet wild berries, and dries down to a musky vanilla. It’s beckons people closer to the wearer as it settles, which is exactly what you want any fragrance, floral or not, to do.

You can actually grab this fragrance in any of three sizes – 0.5 oz for $17.00, 1.0 oz for $28.00, and 1.7 oz for $35.00. It’s available now via key specialty retailers, fine chain drug stores and mass retailers like Target, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Kohl’s and Sears.

For days where you feel like being a bit more feminine, this is the perfect fragrance for you. The “S” in the fragrance can stand for many things: “sexy,” “sassy,” sensual.” But in this case, I’d say that with a fragrance this good, the “S” should stand for one thing : “sold.” Pick yours up now.
