When Fall comes around, I still get the back-to-school giddies when I think about getting new essentials for the season. Although I am WAY past the age when I should be considering school anything, the concept of getting a new bag for the season always thrills me. I may not be putting school materials in it, but I can still get through a challenging day with a tremendous amount of class.
I know, bad pun. Forget I said that.
Anyway, I’m a firm believer in getting a new handbag at the turn of each season, and I think you should buy the best you can afford. Of the three investment essentials for fall (a good coat and a good pair of boots being the other two), this is really the one that will get the most beatings because you will inevitably stuff it, slam it, toss it and do God-only-knows-what-else-to-it before you retire it in the spring. So, you know, buy one that won’t look threadbare in about a minute.
This ladylike top handle bag is polished and looks way more expensive than the price (God bless Zara for that.) I love the embossed cow leather, and its shape is actually large enough to handle The Great Daily Essentials. Plus, when your hands are busy, there’s a longer strap that can be connected so it becomes hands-free.
In short, it’s genius, it’s a good buy, and it’s the first on this week’s list of essentials. 🙂
