Guess what’s coming to a Target near you this weekend? That’s right: The Shops At Target officially launches in stores across the country on May 6th! This new innovation at the big box retailer is a store-in-store concept: a mini shopping village that gives you the chance to shop some of the best boutiques from around the country for a limited-time only.
What’s coming and how do you shop it? Let’s look at the five stores that will be part of this amazing new concept and what you’ll want to look out for:
The Webster – Based on the amazing clothes for men, women and girls from the famed Miami hotel, think South Beach preppy when it comes to shopping the collection. I personally want almost everything in the collection, but I will give you a tip: the accessories and the SHOES (particularly those Cap-Toe Wedges in Melon/Gold ($29.99) shown above), will go fast. Get there and grab the clothes first.
Cos Bar – This fantastic beauty boutique has been a beauty favorite since 1976 and now they’re coming to you. When I interviewed owner and creator Lily Garfield at the launch party last night, I asked her what she would advise you look at first when it comes to Cos Bar’s amazing formulas. “The body cream!” was the immediate answer. Also, one of the things you’ll discover with Cos Bar products? They’re extremely trustworthy. “Trust is a main focus of our business. Our customers trust us because they know that if we give them a product, it’s going to deliver results.” You should check out ALL the Cos Bar products, to be honest. Amazing formulas.
Privet House – Amazing home decor and accessories, but definitely check out their gorgeous stationery. Fantastic items for the desk and for correspondence. This Greenwich, CT, store is known for its quaint items and there’s something in there for everyone. But, again, I am madly in love with the stationery. Thank you notes go a long way. I’m just saying.
The Candy Store – This San Francisco staple has some of the most innovative ways to deliver sugar out there. I don’t have anything else to say than if you have a sweet tooth, just get one of everything and enjoy. I have my hands in a jar of black Scotties licorice right now, which are shapes like – you guessed it – tiny Scottish terriers. LOVE.
Polka Dog Bakery – As someone who is very close to adopting a rescue dog, I want my intended friend for life to have the best of everything, and the vibrant, pooch-friendly items from this amazing Boston, MA-based shop are absolutely fantastic. Go for the toys and the beautiful harnesses and water dishes. Because even though dogs might be color blind, you are not and these pet accessories are absolutely beautiful.
Mark your calendars for this weekend when The Shops At Target hits stores nationwide and online on Target’s website on May 6th. Enjoy it while it lasts because in about six weeks (or as long as supplies last), it’ll be gone.
late last week they gave a whole sneak peek at the store-in-store concept and it’s really good. On May 6th, Target doors across the country will have a mini village opened with five favorite boutiques within: Cos Bar (beauty/skincare), The Webster (clothing for men, women and children from the store from the Miami hotel of the same name), The Candy Store (treats from the San Francisco store of the same name), Privet House (homewares from the Connecticut store) and Polka Dog Bakery (amazing and stylish wares for your pets in all organic materials.) I have info and images.
