Fashion Fabulous: The Best Sundresses for Curvy Girls

It seems that advertisers aren’t necessarily manufacturing clothes for those of us out here with boobs and hips, yes? Considering that the average American woman is now a size 14, it would do for there to be some editorial features out there for ladies who want to look good at EVERY size. Which is exactly what we at FSB are about to start doing.

Looking for a great sundress for summer? Here are some options for the curvier girls:

Calvin Klein Sash Tie Scoop Neck Dress (on sale for $78) – The abstract print creates artistic interest on a flattering fit-and-flare silhouette that will give you an instant hourglass figure. Throw a boyfriend blazer over it for the office or pair with a gorgeous statement necklace and strappy sandals for date night. Been invited to a daytime wedding? Bingo.

Johnny Was “Senorita” Cotton Voile Dress
($250) – I love a good ethnic cotton dress and this is the perfect easy summer solution to a Little Black Dress. The colorful embroidery is cheerful without being over-the-top and the breathable cotton will keep you cool during the sweltering months. Quick lunch dates to vacation dinner will benefit from this adorable frock.

Gap Eyelet-Detailed Convertible Maxi Dress (on sale for $79.99) – Not only is it strapless but it’s white, which is like a homing signal for men in the summer. The dress goes up to an XXL and is so romantic and pretty. Date night, long walks on the beach – this is the summer dress for any curvacious cutie.

Design History Strapless Grecian Drape Dress ($120) – If you’ve got an evening/black tie function this summer, I would strongly suggest going strapless (yes, you can and should with the right support garments) and long. Knock the room over in this draped full-length dress with shirred bodice and Grecian silhouette. Talk about unleashing your inner goddess.

Beautiful girls, get out there and put your gorgeous selves in some fun sundresses this summer. Let the world see what you’re workin’ with. They’ve got nothin’ on you, baby.
