As I mentioned in the piece I did on backstage beauty, there are certain things about Fashion Week you never miss when invited, and one of them is the non-stop party that is the alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet collection. Because – and this is going to sound like one of “those comments” – it’s where everybody is right at that moment and for the two hours it’s going down, it’s the best party in the entire city.
That aside, Stacey also designs some of the best clothes at their price point out there. Stacey’s collection is filled with about a million separates (seriously, the design team has to live on an IV drip of coffee back there) that just bring a wardrobe to another level.
Have a special occasion? She’s got something for that. Need pants for work? She’s got something for that.
What about a handbag? Yep, she’s got you covered starting this spring. Basically, the wardrobe of People Who Have A Good Wardrobe has a few items of a+o in it.
This season, Stacey was inspired by street style and the concept of a rather cool girl strolling the streets of Paris, picking up things in stores and dressing to suit herself.
The collection was filled with Stacey’s whimsy but with entirely wearable pieces.
As in, a lot of them. My favorite photos are in this post of some of my favorite looks, but I would dare say that more than a few of us will be wanting alice + olivia pieces come fall.
Or you know, come now… 🙂
