As I’m working diligently to finish my weight loss journey, I’m more determined than ever to make looking good and feeling amazing a bigger part of my lifestyle. exhale mind body spa has played a huge part in that role in helping me feel more comfortable in my own skin, and I’m excited to continue the journey.
I write a lot about trying my best to live well, and there’s a reason you hadn’t heard a bit of that from me lately: I haven’t really been keeping an eye on the prize like I was before. I struggled with how I eat on the go like everyone else, and sometimes stress helps me fall into some bad habits. But after taking Stefani’s yoga class last week, I’m more determined than ever to stay on my own schedule and to bring my body, mind and soul back into a good place.
After watching me struggle with making time for myself for weeks, the sanity point was brought to me by Lucky Guy, who sat me down and explained the concept of me by using the example of filling a fish tank. “You know how to do this, right?” he says, rubbing my feet. “You put the largest rocks at the bottom, then you fill it in with the smaller rocks, then sand, then water. The larger rocks keep everything from floating away. You need to make certain aspects of your life, like the workouts, larger rocks that never move. They’re non-negotiable.”
Thank you, God, for sending me a man who can talk some sense into me and rub my feet at the same time. Amen.
He’s right, and so the hashtag #20lbstogo is back into effect. I want to be better to myself for my own good. Life is too short not to live well, and the body in which I make this journey is vital to enjoying the trip. I am officially back on my own to-do list. Let’s get this party started.
By the way, the workout gear I’m wearing is actually exhale workout gear. Sent to me hot off the presses, the clothes are perfect for all types of Core Fusion and yoga classes, but they’re cute enough so that when you hit the streets after class and go about your day, you’re enveloped in softness and style. You can check out this soft, amazing lifestyle gear at your local exhale. You know, after you take a class.
