FSB Fashion in Film Festival: Lagerfeld Confidential

As we round the corner and prepare for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, most of us who are obsessed (yep, that’s the right word for it) turn to movies for inspiration, be it directly via documentaries of our favorite designers or classic cinema that influences the design world we love so much. In an effort to review the must-watch movies for the fashion obsessed, I present the FSB Fashion in Film Festival. First up on the list: Lagerfeld: Confidential.

Three years of filming led to this spectacular documentary that takes you behind the scenes with one of the industry’s most formidable talents. A man who is in love with all things beautiful, driven by a passion to design and outspoken to a fault, it’s an amazing look at the designing genius in all his glory. It was released in 2007 to rave reviews and continues to draw audiences today. If you’ve seen it, watch it again. If you’ve never seen it, watch it now.
