Hanes Off Duty Style

As I get older, I love the idea of my clothes being great friends. I’ve spent a lot of time “suffering for fashion” for years only to realize that the relationship never quite returned the favor. What I’m aiming for now is cute, comfortable and chic. It’s why I was excited to partner with Hanes on a little project called Off Duty Style, where I show you how I style a few of their items.

Selfishly, I was a little excited because I live my whole life in Hanes Classic Men’s TAGLESS ComfortSoft Dyed A-Shirts and Classic Fit Traditional Fit ComfortSoft TAGLESS Ribbed A-Shirts. I’m not kidding. I NEED ALL THE A-SHIRTS. ALL OF THEM.

Sorry, that was a little loud, but I get excited about these kinds of things.

These tops are my wardrobe happy place. I love them for summer with just a breezy top and a pair of shorts, out shopping as seen above. I also really love them for evenings out paired with a leather jacket and a cute skirt. They’re versatile, crisp in color, and they wear beautifully.

You can throw them on with yoga pants and kick out for coffee, or you can just do what I do and throw them on every morning with a pair of boyfriend jeans and go on about your life. What I love about them is that they don’t pinch, they don’t pull in the wrong places, and they look streamlined under clothes. In the winter, I layer them underneath long-sleeved cotton tops and jackets to stay warm while I look completely put together. They’re effortlessly chic and hold endless possibilities for weekend and casual style.

Also, underneath this black A-Shirt is the ComfortFlex Fit Get Cozy Seamless Wirefree Bra, which is another staple of off duty style. Look, I love my bras: they keep things where they need to be. That said, underwires are for weekdays. During off-duty and weekend moments, this bra is the better alternative. I just need support while I’m running errands and/or not working, and this is the soft, I-forgot-I-was-wearing-it alternative I need by Saturday morning.

I love my off-duty style, and I’ve loved Hanes items as a part of it for years and years. I used to have to steal these items from boyfriends, but now I just buy them for myself. There’s something so amazing about knowing yourself well enough to just be comfortable in your own skin and in the choices you make with your clothes. I am there, and Hanes is right there with me.
