One of the main reasons we get into beauty writing and editing is that we have certain things we just love about beauty. For me, in particular, it’s finding really amazing products that give the results of expensive brands but are completely affordable. It’s why I’m such a fan of the PIXI makeup collection, which you can get at your local Target store.
The new collection for spring, the PixiGlow Collection, is filled with absolutely gorgeous makeup that is inspired by the legendary fairy, Tinkerbell. It’s a gorgeous collection of products that have successfully married the brand’s exceptional quality and pigments with a touch of whimsy and wonder that is needed in your makeup drawer. Because, let’s face it, after the dead of winter a little fairy dust is definitely in order.
The lovely thing about this collection is that it’s perfect for girls of all ages. Your tween can experiment with the glosses and the Lip Blushes, your teens can get into the Fairy Dust and the Straight-On-Til-Morning liner, and us adults can get in on the WHOLE collection. From lip glosses with a touch of mint for fresh breath to makeup palettes, these are products that are perfect for the “gal on the glow.”
The look I’m working in the shot above is a combination of the following items:
Pixi Bronze Bloom Trio in No. 1 Bronzette– Bronzer used around the sides of the face to contour, then dusted lightly on the forehead and the hollows of the cheek and underneath the jawline
PixiGlow Fairy Face Palette – I used the second and third shadow to fill in the lid, then I made a V-shape with an angled brush with the fourth shade and lined the top lid with the darkest fifth shade.
Piki Endless Silky Eye Pen in CafeGold – LOVE this pencil, gorgeous bronze-gold hue. Lined the top and bottom lash lines with it.
Pixi Straight-On-Til-Morning Liner in 2nd Star Twinkle – Lined the top lashes again and smudged it in with my pinky finger.
Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm in No. 8 Bitten Berry – Goes on smooth, hydrates, stays put. Love these balms in every color they come in.
You can get all these products at Target AND if you keep your eyes peeled for Target’s A Bullseye View website tomorrow, they’re going to show a video of me showing EXACTLY how I did this makeup look.
Oh and the hat and scarf? Yep, they’re from Target as well.
So, think about this soft metallic for day look the next time you want to break your makeup rut. It’s a gorgeous way to get a little glow back into your makeup routine after winter’s cold winds have lifted.
And anyway, who doesn’t want a little fairy dust in their life? Go check it out!
FTC Full Disclosure: I was given products to test to create this makeup look.
