I’ve spoken before on this site of my longtime love of all things Stevie Nicks and her wicked rocker style. I find that when I’m having a wardrobe crisis, I turn to two consistent style icons from rock’s golden eras to help me choose what to wear, and one of them is Saint Stevie (the other is Keith Richards.)
There’s nothing more important in this life than celebrating yourself, to live on the edge of what you think you can do. Watching Stevie live with Fleetwood Mac earlier this year was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Her voice is still flawless, and the unrequited love between her and Lindsay Buckingham is still so thick you can cut it with a knife. Every time she would walk off the stage, it was like a part of his heart went with her. But Stevie has made her choices: she’s a bride of rock and roll, married to the music and incredibly happy that way.
Today, when you’re faced with a choice of whether to blend or to be brazen and bold, go your own way and think WWSD, or What Would Stevie Do?
