<sigh> Ladies, some days my job is a little rough.
But this is not one of them. The folks at Nautica know that the only cure for tired, cranky fashionistas each season is a much-needed break that comes in the way of their menswear collection presentation. People stand in line for up to 45 minutes to get in, have a cocktail and look at some of the finest male models that New York has to offer. While the clothes are always all-American stylish and beautifully crafted, it’s the models that are the milkshakes that bring us to the yard. I will not lie: I love covering menswear because there’s nothing better than a sharply-dressed man, but this presentation takes it to a whole new level.
I can report that this collection is classic Nautica, but I’m sort of mad for the vibrant prints and color combinations this season. It’s still crisp and clean, but you’ll see pops of citron and tonal mixing of certain hues (wearing multiple shades of blue, for instance) that are food for thought when considering a wardrobe purchase and/or how to wear things come spring.
I won’t prattle on, I won’t interrupt. For all of us who love menswear and the men who wear it, I give you the Nautica Menswear Spring 2013 Collection. Please do enjoy.
