Admittedly, I am a jeans-and-t-shirt kind of gal, which means that I tend to spend a lot on soleheaven trainers. I’m also someone who is kind of in love with the sneaker wedge trend. I mean, let’s face it: the comfort of a sneaker with the rear-lifting, height-kicking addition of a heel is hard to resist. I don’t advise spending a bazillion dollars on the trend, but for now these shoes aren’t going anywhere so you might as well have fun with them.
I spotted these on a recent stroll through Barneys here in Manhattan and they had me at hello. A sneaker with a wedge heel concealed inside the back of the hi-top structure, crafted in tweed (like a Chanel jacket, natch) and leather, emblazoned with a gold tone Nike swoosh and lace tag. They’re French high fashion mixed with comfort, they’re classy and they’re all I can think about.
They’re part of Nike’s “City” series and they’re to die for. Get them and rock them all summer. They’re just so incredibly fun, chic and…well, damn it, they’re cool.
