Obsession of the Day: Gap 1969 Super Lightweight Pintucked Trouser Jeans

So, you know that age old discussion of what kind of jeans are appropriate to wear to the office? Ladies, this pair of super fabulous pants is the answer.

First of all, I swear my allegiance to Gap 1969 denim. With gorgeous fabrication and amazing fit, they’re taking denim to a whole new level and as someone who really does live in jeans (as in every day) and tries on a good hundred pairs a year at various fashion events, these are among the jeans I actually buy. They fit, they stay fitted and the style is impeccable.

Which leads me to this trouser-cut marvel of style with the deep dark rinse, the incredible flared (!!) leg and the sharp pintuck detail running down the leg. All of these elements combined with a very lightweight denim fabrication have created the perfect pair of jeans that mimic incredibly well-cut trousers. These are perfect for the office with a pretty tie-neck blouse and a fitted blazer or you could add a fur vest and go for a Rachel Zoe-esque look on weekends. You could also add a gorgeous sequined tank and velvet heels for a night on the town.

Me? I’ll probably add a vintage rocker tee, leather jacket and desert boots for that Joan Jett 70’s vibe. Doesn’t matter how you style them, just get them because this is a pair of jeans that can literally take you anywhere you need to be in effortless style.

I actually tried these on this weekend- the fit is amazing (I’m pretty curvy). I’m ordering these online since I get a shorter inseam.
