Obsession of the Day: Marc by Marc Jacobs Bronte Crocheted Lace Top

Since we’ve been talking about fall trends and the return of ladylike dressing, you should know that lace goes hand-in-hand with that feminine aesthetic.  I’m not usually one to indulge in such feminine flair but when a top this gorgeous comes along, I’ve got to get one, especially when comes from the little sister brand to the King of Cool, Marc by Marc Jacobs.

This Battenberg lace confection has the long sleeves that drift over the tops of the hands that I crave, and the collar stands but not so high that you’ll look like an extra from Shakespeare in the Park. That seemingly naked appearance under the bodice is actually a flesh-toned cami so it looks like you might be naked but…wait…no you’re not. Genius and sexy and fashion forward – oh, how I love Marc Jacobs.

This top should become the hardest working item in your wardrobe this coming season. Pair it with a pencil skirt, wide-legged trousers, dark skinny denim – it’ll work with just about anything. Because, here’s the cool thing about flirty, girly items that sort of look pristine but they’re a tad naughty…

The best part about being a woman is knowing when not to be too much of a lady. This is the perfect top for that kind of sweet action, ladies. Get in on this.
