Obsession Of the Day: Specific Beauty – Products For Pretty Much Ever Skin Tone

Finally – specific beauty products for those of us with varying skin tones!

Ladies, we have all known that skincare is not exactly one size fits all. As a matter of fact, many of us have only to go to a makeup counter to realize that it’s just recently become easier for women of various skin tones to get their perfect match and what skin care can really say that it’s whole goal is to make women of all skin tones look their luminous best? As someone who has a skin color that falls somewhere in the middle (I tend olive in the summer and golden/somewhat dull burnished tan in the winter), I really love the concept of a skin care line that takes care of all of us but focuses on those of us with multi-hued skin tones.

Friends, let’s rejoice for the creation of Specific Beauty, a great skin care line for all skin tones but specifically targeted to those of us with tan, olive and brown skin. Created by acclaimed dermatologist Dr. Heather Woolery-Lloyd, it’s an innovative new line that addresses OUR concerns, especially hyperpigmentation that appears as dark spots from blemishes, sun exposure and brown patches. It’s basically created to give a luminous, even skin tone.

The collection includes a great line of products, including a Daily Gentle Cleanser ($8.99), a Skin Brightening Serum ($24.99) and a Daily Hydrating Lotion ($17.99), which is a great three-step cleansing regimen. Add to that Exfoliating Cleansing Cloths ($6.99 and great for makeup removal at night), a Night Treatment Complex ($18.99 and brightens your skin and improves your skin texture while you sleep) and a great Professional Moisture Complex ($14.99), which is a paraben-free that works to restore your skin’s moisture barrier as well as calm, soothe and hydrate while brightening.

Ladies, who have acne concerns, please do give their Clarifying Wash Acne Treatment ($8.99) a try, which contains salicylic acid that’s gentle enough for daily use and tackles pesky blockages that can cause acne without stripping valuable moisture from you skin. Like I said, this line has thought of everything.

Want to give the line a try? Well, you can get it at Target and Walgreens, but the easiest way to do it would be to hit Facebook RIGHT THIS SECOND and become their friend, because they are giving away some AWESOME samples of their products (talk about friends with benefits!) and a chance to win $1,000. I don’t know about you, but free beauty samples plus a chance at some cold hard cash could come pretty handy right about now. Go right this second and do it!

Because it’s really about what works for our particular kind of beauty, right? Hence the name and the genius products from Specific Beauty get us, ladies. Go check them out on now!
