On the Beauty Scene: Style Coalition and Make Up For Ever Holiday Party

Let it be known that I love a great party. I also love Make Up For Ever (as in, I pledge eternal allegiance.) When those two things come together in one, it’s the Reese’s Cup of Life: all the good stuff is finally together in one delicious bite.

Style Coalition, the online influencer network to which I belong, hosted Make Up For Ever as part of their annual holiday party and it was SUCH a blast. I hopped over the luxury suite before a night of events to give a new holiday look and to talk to the MUFE gals about what’s coming for 2013.

The product launch for 2013? It will BLOW YOU AWAY. Once it’s about ready to come out, I will tell you all about it, but you will need to BUY IT RIGHT THEN.

I’m kind of loving the look that Make Up For Ever makeup artist Jessie Powers gave me. The smudgy rocker eye is courtesy of Make Up For Ever Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow, which she worked into the top and bottom lash lines, then smudged it a bit with one of their great makeup brushes.

The brows are also courtesy of Make Up For Ever  Aqua Brows (although I did my brows at home…because I already own the gel…and about 40 other products from the brand.) and then let’s talk about this gorgeous, on-trend wine-hued lip? It’s Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense #48, and it was applied with a makeup brush. I loved the look!

The party was held as a makeup workshop, to give advice on some of the toughest holiday makeup questions, including how to apply glitter, rock fake lashes or – as you can see here – how to wear an impactful lip color.

Cupcakes and candies for the party. Now THIS is a good entertaining idea.

Branded sweets were also had. Can we talk about these adorable (and DELISH) cupcakes with the logo + lipstick candies? A nice entertaining touch, right?

I went on through the night, rocking my new lip color and retouching often. I think I might adopt this wine-colored lip for a while. After all, the 90’s ARE making a comeback.

This ravishing beauty is my friend Felicia Walker-Benson of ThisThatBeauty. She’s a bombshell, right?

Check out Make Up For Ever products at your local Sephora. You will NOT be disappointed, I assure you.
