Ever have one of those days where you wish you could stay in your pajamas all day? We all do. The problem is how to make your pajamas “road ready” so you can leave the house in them. Because you can. Here’s an example of how to do that.
The pajama set I’m playing with is just a regular cotton pajama set I picked up from Gabriel Brothers the last time I was home in West Virginia. If you aren’t familiar with Gabriel Brothers (and you have one nearby, they’re not everywhere), I urge you to get on board. It’s the fashion equivalent of dumpster diving, with tons and tons of irregulars, discontinued merchandise and tons of odds and ends. But every time I go, I find high-end label items for almost nothing. The last time I went, I found a rounder of high-end designer (they would kill me if I mentioned their name in print) irregular and discontinued jeans that normally retail for $198 a pair for a mere $19.99 per pair. That store is insanely good. Get involved.
All I did to change this look was tuck a men’s cotton pajama top into a pair of boyfriend jeans, which are actually from an ex-boyfriend. Let this be a lesson, dudes: if you sleep at my house and leave things, I claim that possession is 9/10th of the law and I will keep your stuff.
I piled on the jewelry, a cool belt from Zara and some strappy snakeskin sandals. Done. You’re ready to leave the house in your pajamas.
Stay tuned tomorrow. I’ve got plans for the bottoms, too.
