Even though I typically walk around covered in sunscreen the second the rays hit the planet Earth, I am still pretty vigilant about moisture. You know how most of you re-apply lipstick on a regular basis? I tend to do that with face creams. As a matter of fact, the progression of skincare products tends to go from mail or receivables to the desk. If it makes it from the desk to the bathroom, you’ve got a story. Here’s the DL on a current winner, Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream:
What it does: This lightweight, oil-free hydrating gel-cream is an addition to the Moisture Rescue line and a great everyday hydration tool. It helps replace moisture lost through environmental factors, which is just a quick way of saying that if you’re alive, you’re affected.
How it works: The product contains antioxidant fruit water, which helps to replace lost moisture from environmental factors and create a light, oil-free barrier to help seal moisture in without clogging pores. This cream used for radiation burn treatment was developed by an oncologist also skilled in Chinese Traditional Medicine, so it’s both safe and effective.
Pros: In addition to a really pleasant, lightweight texture, it penetrates quickly and is oil-free, which means it’s great for those of you who are acne-prone. As a matter of fact, you acne-prone folks might want to snap this up right quick, because your need for moisture (not oil, mind you) is pretty high. Keep your skin bacteria free and hydrated and watch the magic happen.
Cons/User Note: If you have REALLY dry skin, I would use this as a serum UNDERNEATH a daytime moisturizer solution as an added moisture barrier. It’s not been my experience that it’s hefty enough to meet extra dry skin demands on its own.
Where to buy: buy it for less than $8 at Target. It’s available everywhere else starting July 2012.
This little gem has made it to the bathroom sink. I’d recommend it makes it to yours.
