Summer is almost gone, and with it seemingly goes the ease of summer dressing. Although, let me be the first to say that I’m a fan of cooler seasons because I feel like putting more things on rather than taking them off. But as far as summer goes, there’s nothing more crisp and versatile than a white blazer.
The last of the dog days of summer turn into thoughts of school (for those of you who have it and for those who have kids), and of turning our eyes to the coming change of the season. I always find myself in schoolgirl mode at this point, desperate to squeeze in those last moments of summer freedom before the rigors of fall and holiday arrive. I’m trying to plan another trip to the beach, I feel like there has to be a day in the park coming before the leaves change, and how in the world am I going to use all this body-appropriate sunscreen?
But thenI realize that it will all get done. I’ll use as much of the sunscreen as I can, and it’s up to me to peel myself away from work to hit the beach, to not freak out about wearing a swimsuit in public, to just schedule time to head to the park and just be.
Like the relaxed nature of this outfit, sometimes it’s just fun to “be” and just see where life takes you. Things somehow always turn out the way they’re supposed to be.
