The Rooftop Photo Series: Cozy Night On The Town

The final photo in the shoot for the head-to-toe winter white story I did for StyleUnited was an evening look. I don’t know about you, but there are some times when I just don’t feel like throwing on something that’s going to get “fussy.” Meaning, that my inner tomboy comes out and all I want to do is throw on a sweater and some jeans and be done with it.

Which makes wintertime an awesome time of year to do just that. This final look was extremely simple and one of my favorites: a cozy, well-loved sweater paired with some luxe skinny cords, and a great pair of heels. Throw on a great statement necklace and add a chic clutch and I would dare say you’re ready for wherever the night make take you, plus or minus a black tie event. In which case, if I were in the mood for a look like this, I’d advise just staying in.

Just remember that accessories can make even the most mundane items look practically runway ready if you’re in a hurry (or just lazy, like me.) Give this look a try this holiday season and put a little ease into your holiday wardrobe. My statement with this statement necklace was that I was too tired to even use it as a necklace. It’s actually wrapped around my wrist as a bracelet. 🙂

What I’m Wearing (all my own, minus one item): a borrowed sweater from H&M, AG Adriano Goldschmeid The Corduroy Stilt in Ivory, Derek Lam clutch (no longer available, similar styles here); Rich Rocks earrings, Ann Taylor Loft necklace (no longer available, similar styles here); 7 For All Mankind Peep Toe Clogs; Prada eyewear; Alexis Bittar ring.
