I admit to having some incredible designer crushes and one of my biggest is Belgian-born designer Olivier Theyskens. The talented gent has turned out some of my favorite clothes from his many creative posts throughout his career, but none has me as breathless with anticipation than his collaboration with clothing giant Theory. Feast your eyes on his new collection for the line, the ultimate in chic: Theysken’s Theory.
This set of incredibly chic, minimal workhorse pieces bring the best of Theyskens’ understanding of a woman’s body with his incredible passion for sleek lines, flattering cuts and sumptuous fabrics. The collection contains gorgeous dresses, to-die-for wide-legged pants with a flattering waist and seat, jackets with an angled notch cut out at the back collar so it’s comfortable and always falls flawlessly – he THINKS about things before he issues the pattern and it shows.
Best of all? It’s now available via by beloved department store, BergdorfGoodman. The collection is arranged in two parts. The first part is more urban contemporary and modern with graphic silhouettes and a deep palette of black, white, dark purple, and grays.
The second is more flowing and casual with more organic shapes reminiscent of vintage favorites in a spring-appropriate palette of blue, gray, deep khaki, and pale green.
So, please do not hesitate because I won’t be. The chic wardrobe is positively screaming for at least one piece from the designer, with prices that are competitive for the quality. Head to Bergdorf Goodman’s website (or the store) and get your hands on what’s bound to be the hottest collection to hit a woman’s wardrobe in quite some time.
