Weight Loss Diaries Video: Results Of Core Fusion Weeks Three and Four and The Valuable Lesson It’s Taught Me

Hi all!

So, I’m a tad behind when it comes to posting all the goodness that I’ve got in store for you but I wanted to make sure to get this video to you. As you might have been following my progress with the Core Fusion 90-Day Challenge with Exhale, I wanted to check in and tell you where I am now. Here’s the video with progress so far:

It’s a strange concept that a workout could teach you something about yourself but over the past almost month of doing this workout, I’ve learned a few things about myself by doing this class.

The first thing? I have resisted looking at myself in a mirror below the neck for years. I don’t know if any of you who have fought with your body image have ever experienced that hatred of reflective surfaces but if you’ve ever had a point where you didn’t exactly feel good about yourself, the last thing you want to do is look at yourself full length in a mirror for an hour. When I first started taking Core Fusion, I tried everything I could not to look at myself but as I’ve grown accustomed to why those mirrors are there in most studios (they help you check your alignment among other things) I’ve also grown more comfortable with my reflection. My body is a fact and I’m learning to be more comfortable with it every day.

The second thing is that you can’t “check out” in Core Fusion the way you can in other classes. When I take spinning or other classes, I just zone out and I disconnect for about an hour. Core Fusion is not like that. When they talk about the mind body connection it creates, they’re not kidding: you are mindfully present the entire class because you’re focused on your posture and engaging your core and making sure that you do the moves just so in order to get maximum benefit. I actually like that kind of mindful presence now, the feeling of being calm and centered in your body while you push it to its limits. The results are spectacular but it builds something even more attractive than a gorgeous body: confidence.

So, with 14 lbs lost in under a month and definition I didn’t know was possible (the beginning of abs and a tight seat for starters) I’m on my way into Core Fusion week FIVE, people.     I just wanted to let you know I am enjoying seeing these video updates of your core fusion “journey”. I recently started doing the dvds and love them. It’s the first time I’ve actually enjoyed doing any kind of exercise.

    Yeah, unfortunately I live smack in the middle of southern Missouri so I’m unable to attend any actual classes. How I would love to though. Anyway, I will gladly use the dvds. I too have gone down a dress size in about 2 weeks of using them. Simply amazing.

  7. Wow Kristin, following along on your Core Fusion journey is so inspiring. I’m really considering ordering the DVDs to do at home. I’m just concerned about how it will effect my back. Due to an old injury from my early 20s I’ve been limited in the types of exercise I can do but my doctor recommended yoga so I’m wondering if this would be good as well. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to lose a dress size in two weeks. I can’t even imagine that prospect.
